Once every 3 months to prevent common seasonal pests. This schedule aligns with the 90-day effectiveness of most treatments. However, severe infestations, high-risk areas, or specific pests like termites may require monthly or specialized, more frequent visits.

Preparing for pest control requires cleaning, decluttering, and securing food items to ensure technician’s access and prevent chemical contamination. Key steps include vacuuming thoroughly, storing food in sealed containers, removing pet bowls, pulling furniture 1-3 feet away from walls, and covering small kitchen appliances.

Dependent on the treatment and  pest type, severity of infestation  and environmental factors treatment can be effective for up to 6 months

  • General pest sprays usually last 30-90 days. Specialized treatments, such as bed bugs, can last much longer if the source is eliminated
  • Common pests like spiders and ants may require treatment every 3-6 months. Flying pests might necessitate monthly treatment
  • Heavy rain and UV exposure degrade exterior pesticides quickly, potentially reducing effectiveness to around 30 days in high-summer periods
  • Severe infestations often require monthly treatments for 3-6 months

Wait at least 24 to 48 hours before vacuuming after a standard pest control service to allow treatments to dry and bond. For dust, baits, or severe infestations (like bedbugs), you may need to wait 3 to 7 days, or up to 6 weeks for specific treatments near baseboards. Cleaning too soon removes the residual insecticide.

Key Tips for Vacuuming After Pest Control:

  • Wait Time: Generally 24-48 hours for sprays to dry.
  • Avoid Key Areas: Do not vacuum directly against baseboards, in corners, or on recently sprayed carpet edges for at least a week to allow the barrier to remain effective.
  • Vacuum Bag/Filter: If you vacuum up dead bugs, dispose of the vacuum bag immediately in an outdoor trash can, or clean the canister, especially if using a vacuum with a HEPA filter.
  • Light Cleaning: You can generally vacuum high-traffic, untreated areas sooner, but avoid deep cleaning or mopping.
  • Always follow the specific instructions provided by your pest control technician, as they may vary based on the chemicals used

Pest control is generally considered safe when chemicals are handled by licensed professionals and applied according to strict safety guidelines.

We use safer alternatives – where possible .

Integrated Pest Management (IPM): A strategy recommended by the National Pesticide Information Center (NPIC) that focuses on prevention, sanitation, and physical traps, using chemicals only as a last resort.

Low-Toxicity Products like botanical sprays

Physical Barriers: Diatomaceous earth is a natural powder that kills insects physically rather than chemically.

Baits: Enclosed bait stations for ants or roaches minimize airborne residue and keep toxins out of reach of children and pets.

However, no pesticide is 100% safe because these products are inherently designed to be toxic to living organisms.

Pest control is essential because it serves as a critical defense for public health, structural integrity, and economic stability. While often seen as a mere nuisance, pests can cause severe, long-term damage if left unmanaged

Yes, we do seal holes as part of a specialized service called exclusion. While standard monthly spraying usually focuses on chemical barriers, exclusion is a structural approach designed to physically block pests—especially rodents and wildlife—from entering your home
